Heidi Irwin

PT, DPT

Metamora Physical Therapy was established in 2017 with a shared commitment to delivering personalized and top-notch patient care. Our clinic was founded on the principle of working closely with each patient, addressing their unique needs, and guiding them toward achieving their health goals.

My journey in the field of physical therapy began with the completion of my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Michigan in 2005. Over the years, I have gained valuable experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy. My focus has extended to specialized care in pelvic health, where I assist patients dealing with issues such as incontinence and pelvic pain. Additionally, I hold a certification as a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist.

A proud native of Lapeer, I graduated from Lapeer East in 1994 and have deep roots in the community. Currently residing in Oxford with my husband Tom, my son Ian, and our dog Dudley. Outside of work, I enjoy reading and family trips up north. My dedication to patient well-being extends beyond the clinic, reflecting my commitment to fostering a healthier, happier community.

Lisa Edl Prusakiewicz

PT

My name is Lisa, and I’ve dedicated my life to the world of physical therapy, specializing in orthopedics since 2004. It has been an incredible journey; one that has allowed me to make a meaningful impact on countless lives and pursue my passion for helping others live pain-free active lives.

My journey into the world of physical therapy began at Andrews University, where I earned my master’s degree in physical therapy, equipping me with the knowledge and skills necessary to make a difference in the lives of my patients.

Since beginning my career, I have engaged in several continuing education advancements, including becoming ASTYM certified, dry needling, and many courses specific to back pain, shoulder rehab, running, and functional rehab.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, each with their unique set of orthopedic challenges. Whether it’s been helping someone recover from a sports injury, aiding in post-surgery rehabilitation, or guiding individuals through the complexities of chronic pain management, I’ve always found immense satisfaction in witnessing the progress and improvements my patients make.

Aside from my professional life, I am a proud parent of three incredibly active children. Balancing the demands of parenthood with my career in physical therapy has been a fulfilling challenge. My family’s love for an active lifestyle mirrors my professional ethos, and we often find ourselves engaging in outdoor activities, sports, and adventures together. These shared experiences have not only strengthened our family bond but have also deepened my appreciation for the importance of physical well-being in our lives.

Kelly lubera

DPT, PT

I graduated from the University of Michigan Flint with my doctorate in Physical Therapy. My journey into the field of physical therapy began when I broke my ankle on a trampoline during my teenage years. This personal experience ignited my passion for the profession, leading me to work in therapy clinics as an aide until I completed my PT school in 2009.

Throughout my career, I have primarily focused on out-patient clinics, where I’ve honed my skills in aiding the recovery from orthopedic injuries and surgeries. I’ve also worked extensively with individuals dealing with neurological conditions, including MS, Parkinson’s, and stroke recovery. More recently, I’ve delved into the study of a gentle manual technique known as Visceral Manipulation. This specialized treatment can be beneficial for various conditions, including but not limited to digestive problems, pelvic floor issues, scar tissue related to trauma or surgery, as well as providing relief from pain and discomfort associated with cancer treatments and autoimmune diseases.
