The Best In Physical Therapy

Metamora Physical Therapy is a privately owned company operated by Kathy Pepper, PT and Heidi Irwin, PT. We have both worked in the outpatient orthopedic setting for a combined 40 years. Our expertise is in treating general orthopedic conditions including low back pain, neck pain, plantar fasciitis, rotator cuff injuries, ACL injuries, total hip and knee replacements and many other diagnoses. We are both members of the community and strive to deliver one on one personalized care by physical therapists only. We are both ASTYM trained and Kathy Pepper is the only physical therapist to offer breast cancer rehabilitation in our area.

Meet Our Team

Kathy Pepper

PT, CSCS, CLT-UE

I graduated from Wayne State University’s Physical Therapy program in 1992 and have 25 years of experience and continuing education in outpatient physical therapy. Health and fitness is important to me, and lead me to pursue my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification (CSCS). I am a runner, a triathlete and a Pilates instructor and I enjoy treating athletes from the weekend warrior to the collegiate athlete.

Recently, I have had the opportunity to once again let my personal life fuel my professional life. I am now a breast cancer survivor. I am a Certified Lymphedema therapist (CLT-UE) and ASTYM provider with advanced courses in breast cancer rehabilitation, including auxiliary webbing. I believe it is important to treat the breast cancer patient in their entirety. With my skills, knowledge and experience I am dedicated to help these patients every step of the way.

Heidi Irwin and I have been friends and colleagues for many years and I am very excited to join her in opening Metamora Physical Therapy. After raising our two children in Davisburg and sending them off to college, my husband and I moved to Metamora. I am looking forward to being an active part of our new community.

Heidi Irwin

PT, DPT

Kathy Pepper and I opened Metamora Physical Therapy in 2017. I was born and raised in Lapeer, having graduated from Lapeer East in 1994. My goal is to be able to treat and care for patients in order to achieve their best outcomes – plus my family needs lots of physical therapy. 🙂 🙂 I enjoy working with and talking to all my patients!

I received my doctor of physical therapy degree from University of Michigan in 2005. I have 12 years of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy experience. I have taken continuing education yearly in manual therapy, torticollis, work conditioning, muscle energy, and am ASTYM trained.

My husband, Tom, my son, Ian and I live in Oxford. I have two misbehaved dogs, Dudley and Maizy. I enjoy reading and spending time up north with my family.

Lisa Edl Prusakiewicz

I graduated from the Andrews University Physical Therapy program in 2004 and have over 16 years of experience in outpatient physical therapy. I have taken continuing education in running, manual therapy, muscle energy and general orthopedic conditions. I earned my Orthopedic Clinical Specialty in 2015, the year we moved from Ohio back to Michigan. I started working for Metamora PT in May of 2019 after meeting Kathy and Heidi at a Metamora Women in Business meeting. I began covering vacations initially and recently started working part time. I love working with such knowledgable therapists and continue to learn every day. I have been married to my best friend for 13 years. We have 3 children, Cara 12, Gavin 10, and Grace 3. I enjoy spending time with my family and anything that involves the outdoors, especially in the summer. I enjoy working out and learning everything I can about nutrition to be the best version of myself.
